Today the Catholic League wrote an article stating that Archbishop John Nienstedt of Minneapolis ended a prayer service for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) Catholics at St. Joan of Arc parish in Minneapolis. Over the past several years the service had been held at the church. Apparently the service had been held to celebrate the gay lifestyle rather than to honor homosexuals who are faithful to the Catholic teachings.
I applaud the Archbishop for staying faithful to the teachings of the Church. Society may not like it but we as Catholics must remain faithful to the moral teachings of the Church. To celebrate the lifestyle would be akin to the Church holding prayers services celebrating the lifestyles of fornicators, adulators, bigamists, polygamists and any other lifestyle that goes against the Churches’ moral teachings. We, as Catholics, can love the sinners but hate the sin. Too many people want to hear doctrine that tickles their ears and makes them feel good rather than the truth.
Please pray for the Archbishop as he is being bashed by those who don’t want to hear the truth.
