Is this a sign of things to come? Evidently, the Catholic Church has had to pull out of three top adoption agencies in Great Britain because of a gay rights law regarding adoption. While I do believe that job discrimination against homosexuals should not be tolerated, I do believe that this type of law interferes with the religious liberties of these organizations. These laws go too far in pushing the gay agenda on those who don’t agree with it. Forcing the Church to pull out of these charities will have a negative long term effect .
Adherents of religion are finding that they are losing more and more rights for the sake of political correctness. This has to stop. Truth is truth and cannot be legislated against for the sake of political correctness. This kind of legislation is very dangerous and is not a good sign for religious liberties. It is hypocritical to push for the rights of one group while trampling on the rights of another. A fair compromise would be to respect the rights and sensitivities of both groups. Not every adoption agency needs to cater to the homosexual community.
This may be a sign of things to come. Another case of political correctness gone awry!
