As tomorrow is Valentines Day, I thought it would be nice to remember the Saint that the day commemorates. I am not going to take this time to examine the various legends surrounding this Saint, rather I would like to reflect on the true meaning of this day. While this day has come to be associated with personal love and romance, the true meaning should reflect on the love that this Saint had for Jesus Christ and the love that Jesus Christ has for all of us.
We are all called to love one another in our lives. We are not called just to love our friends, we are called to love our enemies. I hope everyone takes some time tomorrow to be imitators of Christ and show our love for one another. This love is a small fraction of the love that Jesus has for us. We are all reflections of his love when we share our love with one another.
