For those who might be interested, I am going to post my last response to the Challenge that was made on Salvo-Noodle. I have corrected some typos.
I just wanted to make one last comment regarding the “Challenge”.
The reason that I accepted this challenge was not to win anything. The reason was so the truth could be told. If you CK felt that this Challenge was to win an argument, I am sorry that you felt that way. Without offending anyone here, I half expected this to happen. When a Catholic has half a clue as to why the Catholic Church teaches what it does and is able to articulate it half way decently, the “challengers” tend to back away. I do not engage in apologetics because I think it is fun, I do so because I must.
The one thing that I do ask of anyone that reads this, is to not to take CK’s or anyone elses word for what the Catholic Church really teaches. Don’t take my word for it either. Check out what the Church actually teaches by reading what it teaches, not sound-bytes taken out of context. I also think that the early Church Fathers are an important insight to what the early Church taught in the first century and later. It is the lens for how the Bible should be interpreted.
I am thoroughly grateful that CK, his friends and readers have found Jesus Christ. I am sad that you have not found the fullness of truth in his Church. The Church is the Pillar and Foundation of Truth. It is not my Church, it is Jesus’s Church. Jesus is the King and he has a kingdom. That Kingdom is prefigured in the OT. The OT kingdom had a queen. The queen was the mother of the King. That Kingdom also had a royal steward who had authority over the Kingdom while the King was away. You can read into that what you want. Jesus’s Kingdom has the same structure as the Jewish Kingdom. I know who the King is. It is Jesus Christ. I know who the Queen Mother is. It is Mary the Mother of Jesus Christ. I know who holds the office of Royal Steward on Earth. It is the successor of the Bishopric of Peter. I know most of you do not agree. I can back up my claims with the Bible, Church History and Sacred Tradition.
I do pray for Christian unity regularly. The divisions in the Church are not what Jesus wanted. He prayed that we may be one just as the Father in heaven and he are one.
Divisiveness is what Satan wants in the Church. I seek unity in the truth that has been passed down from the beginning. I don’t want any-ones opinions of the truth, I want the truth and that truth is in the Catholic Church…THE PILLAR AND FOUNDATION OF TRUTH!
I pray that we may be all one in the future. There is much work to be done.
God Bless Everyone
