I have often wondered what was the Church like after the Apostles finished writing the books of the Bible. What did the Church believe regarding certain doctrines that are disputed today. Did they believe in the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist? Did they believe in Infant Baptism? Did they believe in “Once Saved Always Saved”? How did they view Mary? Did they teach Apostolic Succession? Did they teach Sola Scriptura? Over the next several weeks or months, we will examine some of the “Early Church Fathers”.  We will examine their writings, their lives and their significant role in the development of the Church.
